Weddings are an important rite of passage that celebrates the deep love and union shared by two or more people. Many different cultures (especially religious ones) have their own unique rituals implemented into their wedding ceremonies that help reflect the ideals, beliefs, practices, and morals they hold dear.

Pkin weddings are no different; in fact, although the only types of Pkin wedding ceremonies that have been formally conceptualized are the Beoiwt Tere and the Secla Ceilrc (see below), there may be a lot of diversity in the ways that different Pkinists choose to structure their own ceremonies, depending on what's important to them.

Which Pkinists Can Get Married?

For Pkinists who would like to get married, they must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible. Other than that, they can be any type of person under the sun (in accordance with Sacred Tenet 1.2) - and the same goes for any of their partner(s)!

Creating Your Own Ceremony

If existing wedding ceremony types in Pkinism don't suit you or your partners' needs, feel free to create your own! Here are some questions to ask yourself when conceptualizing of a new type of Pkin wedding ceremony (use graph paper and a pencil for any diagram drawings):

  1. How many people are getting married to each other in this type of ceremony?

  2. Is it possible for a wedding party be implemented? Why or why not?

  3. How can this configuration be arranged visually? How is the aisle shaped? Draw it in a diagram from the overhead perspective.

  4. Can this type of ceremony account for more than one marrying party having been a Practitioner in the past? If so, how?

  5. Can this type of ceremony account for marrying parties who are in the middle of their Pkin Cycles? Why or why not?

  6. Does this type of ceremony involve symbolic integration of the Archetypes?

  7. Does this type of ceremony involve a hierarchy of some kind? If so, explain how it works.

  8. Does this type of ceremony have a section dedicated to the Areas of Growth (Vulnerability, Productivity and Spirituality)? If so, explain how it works.

  9. Does this type of ceremony involve any Mentors of the marrying parties? If so, how?

Once you're done answering these questions - or more, if you come up with any of your own - and you'd like it to be featured on this website, feel free to send us an email about it at pkinism@gmail.com (a form is currently in the works for the purpose of speeding up this process, so your input would be very helpful)! Please provide the name of the ceremony and your name in the subject line; if you'd like your contribution to be anonymous, simply put the word "Anonymous" in place of your name.
