Symptoms-Of-Phobia-1.jpg

Symptoms of liomenoprosopophobia may include:

  • Fear and/or avoidance of visual and/or audial media that contains m*lting faces

  • Fear and/or avoidance of entire movies and/or TV series that contain m*lting faces - even if most of the media is completely safe

  • Excessive desire to check content guides for movies/TV series (like IMDb) to see if it contains a character's face m*lting off - regardless of whether or not said media is spoiled for them

  • Requests or demands for people in their life to not say certain words (like the M word) in their presence

  • Lasts for at least six months

  • An underlying fear of losing control

  • Fear of death (Thanatophobia)

  • Fear of heat and/or hot weather (Aestophobia)

NOTE: It is not required that you have all of these symptoms to qualify for a diagnosis of liomenoprosopophobia, or that your symptoms are the most severe. But it is advised that you seek professional therapeutic and/or psychiatric help if the phobia impacts the quality of your life in severe ways and it lasts for longer than six months.
